
ABOUT ME
I am a musician: I work as a pianist and composer. I understand composition as a process permeated by other subjectivities, both in terms of history and referentiality, and in the human relationships of exchange with other musicians.

Born in São Paulo Brazil, Fernando works as a composer and pianist. His compositional interests include instrumental and vocal music, opera, musical collaborations between performers and creators, and experimentation with performance art.
As a pianist, he participates in projects as a chamber musician and soloist. His first album, "Piano vol.1" (2022), was a finalist in the breakthrough artist category at the 30th edition of the Brazilian Music Awards [PMB].
Fernando began his musical studies at age 13. At 15, he entered EMESP Tom Jobim [São Paulo State Musical School] as a piano student of Karin Fernandes, where he recently began studying composition with Rodrigo Lima, Rodolfo Valente, Tiago Gati, Tiago Costa, and André Damião. At 17, he entered the bachelor's degree program in composition at the University of São Paulo (USP), studying with Silvio Ferraz and Valéria Bonafé.
He has collaborated with national and international groups such as the Music Department's Chamber Orchestra of ECA-USP (OCAM), São Paulo's University Symphonic Orchestra (OSUSP), Theatro São Pedro's Orchestra (ORTHESP) and Ensemble l'Itinéraire. He has also worked with performers such as Anna Koch (Austria) and Karin Fernandes (Brazil), with Karin having given national and international premieres of his compositions in venues such as Galerie Hus and the Brazilian Embassy (Paris), Lisbon and Hamburg.
He recently participated as a scholarship holder in the 1st OCAM’s Composition Studio [Chamber Orchestra of the Music Department - USP] (2024-2025) and in the Theatro São Pedro's Lyric Studio (2024-2025) where he developed, together with Isabella Luchi, "Maria's Christmas": a micro-opera in three scenes.
Fernando is a Libra with Gemini rising, LGBTQIAPN+, and a cook in his spare time. His favorite origami is the tsuru (crane).
